New York City's Community Biolab

Projects > Make science accessible

Collaborators: Daniel Grushkin

Remember when science was fun? At Genspace it still is.

Genspace is a 501(c)3 community organization dedicated to promoting science literacy at the grassroots level, particularly in the new DNA-based technologies of synthetic biology, genomics and genetic engineering. We work outside of traditional settings, serving both adults and students and providing a safe supportive environment for hands-on exploration of biotechnology by the general public.
